Horrible durability And design6/23/2018 8:16:30 PM
Pros: Its a headset.
Cons: Broke within a year just like the other pair of turtle beaches i had. where the headset slides to adjust is very weak and will fracture after a few months of use and within 6-8 months will completely snap.
Other Thoughts: Trash can headset. Do not buy it
Great Mic/Headphones, connection cables reprehensibly designed3/22/2018 3:09:26 PM
Pros: If you can actually use it comfortably, this is by all means a very high quality headset
Cons: I ended up retiring my PX22s after having thrown them a few times and discombobulating the speakers so I thought that the PX24s would be a perfect replacement. Oh boy oh boy oh boy, I could not have been more wrong.
Isn't the most recent model of something supposed to be superior to it's predecessor? I mean you could have built a children's swingset with the PX22's adapter. If that wasn't bad enough, just the adapter itself was of a superior design compared to the PX24's adapter. So uhhhh what is going on here guys? Here are my biggest complaints about the headset:
I. Normal auxiliary extensions do not work with the 3 notch jack
Just trying to save you the time, money and frustration by pointing this out even though it should be obvious. Your everyday aux jack has 2 notches and the PX24 has 3 because it has combined the Mic and Speakers together. Someone at TB has been reading up on Blizzard's guide on how to fix things that aren't broken.
To get an extension you are probably going to have to buy some real specific item that costs $15 if you really need it. But it's not sold in stores so you have to order it and have it shipped. Doesn't that completely defeat the point of visiting a local retailer? lIke guys come on, this like 20 IQ Headset design. I just shelled out $80, why am I now having to buy something else to use this headset?
II. Additionally, you may need to buy a:
MIC/SPEAKER SPLITTER if you do not have the combo jack
Like LOL DUDE WHY IS THIS A THING? WHY DO WE HAVE TO BUY MORE THINGS? How did someone overseeing production of this headset look at this and think 'this is satisfactory' ? The lack of sound judgment in the design of the PX24 is truly astonishing and an embarassment to the brand.
Even if i bought splitters for this to hook it up to the back of my tower, all the stuff would still be in my way because:
I. THE CORDS ARE TOO SHORT
The space in which my keyboard/mousepad area covers is about 2.5ft wide. I can't have anything in the way of this space. I don't like that all of these cords have to be hovering either or that I have to sit in my chair hunched over my desk like quasimodo just to use this headset.
What is with this micro usb cable? Even a phone carrier has the decency to give you a ~6ft long charge cord. This is just ornery TB. My Desktop Tower has 1 SINGLE MIC/SPEAKER Jack and its on top near the front of the case. You might be thinking well hey that is kind of HP's fault isn't it?
No, no it is not.
If I am in charge of designing gaming headsets and creating the highest quality headset on the market, I want to plan around the possibility that connecting jacks may be in extremely inconvenient places, look at the average size of a computer case and add additional slack to make sure nobody is going to return my headsets and buy some other company's headset.
Unbelievable dude. I never thought I'd ever be this disappointed with a brand I trusted to deliver a very high quality product.

Other Thoughts: This is not how you treat repeat business and loyal customers, Turtle Beach. I will be returning this headset. Sure, I could move my setup around to make it work or I could buy a special extension, but I already shelled out $80 for this headset. Why isn't it just plug and play like my PX22s? Why should I have to buy anything else? Why didn't you determine the length of the PX24's cords based on case size, distance players sit away from their monitors, how far away towers generally are from players etc. ? I mean, you guys are supposed to be making the best headset on the market so what gives?
This is not what I expected from TB, I am extremely disappointed.
This is not what I expected from TB, I am extremely disappointed.
Pros: - Reasonably comfortable.
- The audio quality is acceptable.
- The audio quality is acceptable.
Cons: - Design includes an 'amplifier' that is a box mid-way down the already short cable. The amplifier doesn't really offer any vast improvement to audio experience. It mainly serves as dead weight on your cable so it constantly falls jerking the wiring and causing distractions while gaming. Over the course time this needless recurring stress on the wiring will cause damage, but other components will absolutely break first. You cannot reasonably bypass it unless you were to buy an extension cable given the short length out of the box. On top of all that, you must charge the amplifier separately with a mini usb cable to be able to use it. Mine has been dead pretty much since I bought it. It's not needed.
- Although the box says that the unit is compatible with PC, out of the box I was unable to use my microphone. I had to purchase a splitter cable separately to enjoy both input and output simultaneously.
- As with every Turtle Beach product I've ever purchased it's lifespan didn't even reach a year. Currently audio only plays through the left speaker. Also in typical fashion, the headset has stress fractures in the plastic just above the portion that covers the ear. The fractures are on both sides, and will just get worse with use until a speaker snaps off entirely. I'm not overly rough with the product, but I do expect it to endure frequent use especially at its price point. I've never had to break out the super glue and tape as much as I have with Turtle Beach headsets. The PX24 is no exception.

Other Thoughts: Against my better judgement, this was the 3rd time I purchased a Turtle Beach headset. I will not be purchasing Turtle Beach products again. Every product has been afflicted by the same durability flaws. This particular product has some design flaws thrown in as well. Just avoid it. My correspondence with Turtle Beach has been a continuous source of disappointment.
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: The look of the headset is eye-catching and nice to look at. The audio quality is great. The microphone catches quite a bit of the background noise (even if it's at a distance), but it also isn't an expensive headset and I would say that for the price, it's nothing less than what I would expect.
Cons: This is not a wireless headset and therefore, has a cord. After we ordered the headset, the piece that you plug into the computer stopped working. We contacted Newegg, and they sent us another and a return box for the first one. The second one did the same exact thing, but it lasted over two months and was passed the time to return it.
Other Thoughts: No, I would not recommend this product to anyone because of the end of the cord not working twice with two brand new versions of this headset.
Ownership: more than 1 year
Not durable, plus problems with amplifier.2/9/2017 1:57:25 PM
Pros: Pretty comfortable
Sound quality was good (at first)
Compatible with multiple platforms
Sound quality was good (at first)
Compatible with multiple platforms
Cons: Had to have the amplifier replaced once
Sound seems to be degrading, sound output is hollow and distant
Both sides of the headset cracked just above the earpieces and I had to repair with super glue and electrical tape
Sound seems to be degrading, sound output is hollow and distant
Both sides of the headset cracked just above the earpieces and I had to repair with super glue and electrical tape
Other Thoughts: I purchased this headset because it was compatible with Xbox One and PC. However, the overall quality/durability is very poor. I have only owned this headset for a year now and it has broken multiple times and the sound quality seems to be degrading.
Pros: larger ear cup size and padded head band
Cons: short cords, hours of adjustments to achieve desired sound, PC use requires an extra cord which is sold separately, feedback from USB cable.
Other Thoughts: Purchased my set from Target. I'm disappointed when comparing these to the PX21. Box indicates for PC use as well as consoles but only on the back in fine print it indicates needing a splitter for PC use which is not supplied. Without the splitter the mic will not work on most PCs. I only bought these because the plastic molding on one of the ear pieces on the PX21 set I have cracked and broke with moderate careful use. I will not be buying Turtle Beach ever again.
Pros: Fantastic audio so far, good quality and very clear. Mic is high quality, First time I spoke on it a friend asked me if I was using vonage (a joke) The ability to hear yourself and what's going through your mic is also nice as well. you can turn this up,down, or off completely.
Bass control is nice, but not all that great, The real money comes in the 'Super Hearing' mode. For us FPS gamers, hearing footsteps just went to a whole new level.
Bass control is nice, but not all that great, The real money comes in the 'Super Hearing' mode. For us FPS gamers, hearing footsteps just went to a whole new level.
Cons: Where to begin. Although I didn't buy mine from newegg, I got mine from a store locally. The company includes a charger for the amp that is available anywhere in the world, and If you're buying an 80$ headset you have one already that you can use.
Not only did they waste including that, they included that instead of the splitter which did not come with the headset. So, us PC gamers get messed over. So I had to spend an extra 10$ on another cable that should have been included in this headset (Especially since your using cheap plastic to make the headset.)
As for the headset itself. It's made up of very cheap plastic, and I feel that if i drop it from more than 2 inches from a surface, It will shatter. The mic cannot be removed, so using it as a headset for MP3 players n such, you must keep the mic on it. Shouldn't be a problem though.
Now, The part that angers me the most. This company, makes tons of money. literally, tons of money. Why can't you not make the cord long enough for everyone you plan on selling for? I understand the idea behind a shorter cord for controllers, but for PC gamers - Lord o' mercy.
The cord itself is ugly, terrible, and this company should be ashamed of itself. If your looking for a headset that is pleasing to the eye, do not get this. The cord isn't covered/braided, so It stays in the bent shape and does not straighten out very easily at all.
If you buy this headset (Which I would suggest to people) you better buy a 3.5mm female to Y Female Mic/Audio splitter. I bought one that's about 3 inches in length for 10$. Can't imagine how much a longer one would be

I'm more than sure there's something else out there that would look better and sound the same, for 10$ more (which is what the splitter cost). I'm considering taking this back for a full refund to the store, I have 30 days to get over a few things or take it back.
Quality of audio / mic = 10/10
Quality of the material used to build this entire setup = 2/10

Not the best I've used, but it's still great12/8/2015 12:59:21 AM
Pros: -Sound quality is great
-Comes with a neat amplifier/remote. I love that the amplifier is battery powered and can be recharged via micro usb.
-Supernatural hearing via the remote amplifier definitely gives you a nice edge against your enemies
-Of course, the greatest pro is that the headset is universal and can be used on any device that has a 3.5mm jack.

Cons: -The cord for the headset is a bit on the short side
-My biggest complaint is they decided to include a micro usb cable which is readily available just about everywhere on the planet rather than include an audio splitter which you'll need if you're gonna use this headset on pc. Chances are you'll need to order one online.

Other Thoughts: The most important thing to me when it comes to my headset is the quality of the sound and I'm very impressed with these so far. I didn't want to put the quality of the mic as a pro or a con, because it's neither great or terrible (it gets the job done). Overall, the headset is great. Just keep in mind that it doesn't come with a splitter.
